I had a pretty good vacation this past week leading up to Fathers Day 2011.  A few things to work on around the house...cleaning the garage, working on my home automation system (lights and scheduled running of items controlled)...to finishing off two of the bathroom counters in concrete...

For these two; one was done in white, and the other a chocolate brown...

For the mainfloor bathroom, I was set on making an integral sink in the form, and using a non-standard 'concrete' color which, when you think concrete, you think "grey".

Now for the upstairs bathroom.  The sink, counter and vanity was reused from a previous renovation (of this same house)  (another adventurous story and pictures and memories)... it previously had 2x2 tumbled marble tiles (which are no-longer available from HD)  anyways... now its concrete too... the sink and faucets were re-used...

I really like the way they turned out... but as always there's little tips and tricks you find out along the way, only by doing it...
